Despite reaching 1.5601 on better than expected data in the UK, the GBP/USD was unable to extend its advance on ongoing risk aversion. The pair however, managed to bounce from the 1.5540 area, and the hourly chart shows price standing above moving averages and indicators aiming to recover from their midlines. In the 4 hours chart technical readings are positive, but as yesterday, showing no actual strength. Steady gains above 1.5610 are required to confirm an advance towards 1.5700 price zone.

Australian dollar got a boost from the RBA past Asian session, as the Central Bank left rates unchanged. The hourly chart presents a bullish tone which supports further gains in the short term, with 0.9070/0.9100 area as next sellers’ line. A break above it should trigger some stops and induce profit taking, boosting the pair even further.
